--------------—
Chicken Ranch Casino in Jamestown is pleased to announce the 10th Annual Holiday Community Dinner for Monday, December 21st, from 5–8 p.m. The event is hosted by the Chicken Ranch Rancheria of Me-Wuk Indians and will be open to all who wish to join for a socially distanced evening of great food and community, as well as a visit from Santa.
Historically the Community Dinner has served upwards of 1,200 individuals seeking to share in the holiday celebration and warm meal at the Casino. This year, due to COVID-19 restrictions, the dinner will be a drive-through held in front of the Event Hall, which will be decked in holiday spirit. Reservations are not needed.
Preparations for the large-scale event have been underway for well over a month, including several early email exchanges with Santa to ensure his availability on the 21st. Regarding the evening this year, Tribal Chairman Lloyd Mathiesen was pensive: ““This has been a year unlike any other, filled with many challenges and hardships. Everyone’s lives have been turned upside down. And now, more than ever we feel the need to reach out to the community and provide a holiday meal that community members can share with loved ones.”
Chicken Ranch Casino is privately owned and operated by the Chicken Ranch Rancheria Me-Wuk Indians with over 275 employees from the Central Valley and Sierra Nevada’s Motherlode. The Casino currently offers 603 gaming machines, Table Games, smoke-free gaming, Bingo five nights a week, the Ranch House restaurant and The Roost café bistro.
